- Ph.D. Candidate in Higher Education Administration with cognate areas of Research Methods and Educational Psychology, University of Virginia
With past experience directing assessment both at Longwood and Hampden-Sydney College, Onie coordinates the outcomes assessment, strategic planning, and professional development for the Student Affairs area. Having directed the Career Center at Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA, she enjoys co-teaching the "Project Success" class which addresses the personal, career, and leadership development of the Senior Mentor and sophomore participants.
Onie and her husband, Dr. Ray Brastow, a LU professor of Economics, have resided in Farmville since 1992 and have two young-adult aged children both living in Davidson, NC, one as a staff member for the Campus Outreach college ministry and the other as a sophomore, chemistry major at Davidson College.
