Alumni's Thoughts on the Economics
Department:
-
"Great teachers and experiences which
gave me a strong background in economics."
-
"With the personal attention I received
in the small classrooms, I entered the job market knowing that I understood
the topics which were taught."
-
"Economics gave me a strong understanding
of cost and expense and supply and demand."
-
"I feel the classes not only prepared
me for my career but also for life in general. A good understanding
of basic or advanced economics is very important to become a successful
professional."
Alumni's Thoughts on the Economics
Professors:
-
"All of the professors were willing
to help me outside of the classroom anytime I needed additional instruction."
-
"I think the reason the economics professors
were so effective in the classroom was because the classes were so small.
With only 5-10 students in many classes, students get much more one-on-one
attention."
-
"My professors were wonderful when
it came to advising and decision making. They are still helpful to
me seven months after graduation."
-
"Even professors who were not teaching
the class helped students with their homework and research projects.
An economics professor was almost always available to help a student anytime."
