Summer Conference Team
Who are we?
The Summer Conference Team is a group of twelve Longwood students who are currently enrolled at the University, or are May graduates in the year of desired employment. They are employed by Longwood University's Office of Conference and Event Services between the end of the Spring semester and the beginning of the Fall semester. The Team is comprised of four Coordinators (Housing, Project, Staff and Quality Control) who serve as shift supervisors to eight Conference Associates.
The Summer Conference Team serves as the primary workforce throughout the conference season, during which Longwood University hosts around twenty-five conferences and camps ranging anywhere from fifteen participants to over six-hundred participants! Given that we are a hospitality provider, members of the Team must possess exceptional customer service skills, a strong work ethic, along with excellent communication skills.
