Accreditation is an ongoing process rather than an episodic event. Below is a general timeline of the 2014 reaffirmation process. More details will be provided as we enter each stage.

In December 2014, the SACS Commission on Colleges will conduct its final review of our QEP and compliance documents and will issue its ruling on our reaffirmation. Then we'll begin implementing our QEP, and before we know it will be time to prepare the Fifth-Year Interim Report. Documenting and assessing what we do along the way keeps us prepared to demonstrate that we are practicing continuous improvement. 

Fall 2011
  • Gather data for compliance certification
  • Start soliciting ideas for the QEP topic
Spring 2012
  • Analyze data to determine an initial compliance status
  • Narrow and finalize the QEP topic
Summer 2012
  • Submit the Institutional Summary (June 2012)
  • Leadership Team orientation in Atlanta (June)
  • Address compliance and documentation issues
Fall 2012
  • Prepare first drafts of the compliance report
  • Start developing the QEP
Spring 2013
  • Continue working on the compliance report
  • Continue developing the QEP
Summer 2013
  • Prepare the final compliance report
Fall 2013
  • Submit the Compliance Certification Report (September 2013)
  • Start planning the on-site visit
  • Off-site peer review of the compliance report (November 2013)
  • Prepare the final QEP
Spring 2014
  • Submit the Focused Report (6 weeks prior to on-site visit)
  • Submit the QEP (6 weeks prior to on-site visit)
  • On-site visit: March 18-20, 2014
