Longwood Police Academy Program

Longwood and the Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice Studies Department has a unique agreement with the Central Virginia Criminal Justice Academy whereby students can spend one semester of their senior year at the Academy earning academic credit and becoming certified to work as law enforcement officers in the Commonwealth of Virginia upon graduation.

Graduate with a Bachelor's degree and Law Enforcement Officer Certification from the VA Dept. of Criminal Justice Services, after 22 weeks at the Central VA Criminal Justice Academy in Lynchburg. Additional fees apply for this program.

Program Schedule

  • July - December (enrollment deadline is previous May 1)
  • January - June (enrollment deadline is previous November 1)
