Unit Coin History

The Longwood University/ HampdenSydney ROTC unit coin is given to members of the Unit when contracting with ROTC.  The unit coin serves as a proof of membership for current and past members of Charlie Company. In addition to being given to Longwood/Hampden Sydney ROTC cadets and instructors, coins are given to important faculty and VIPs that have exhibited attributes worthy of recognition.

Each Cadet is given one coin upon contracting, and upon graduation and commissioning each cadet is given an additional Unit Coin to give to a faculty or staff member of their school that has influenced, inspired and given support to the cadet throughout their college career.

 Special thanks to Coach Steve and the other master minds behind generating funds for the coin.
