Monday - Thursday 6:30 a.m. -10:00 p.m.
Friday 6:30 a.m. -8:00 p.m
Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Sunday 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Can I bring a guest with me to the gym?
Nonmembers at least 18 years of age may purchase a guest pass for the day to enter the Health and Fitness Center under the following condition. A current member must accompany non-members who shall present a valid government issued photo ID card and sign the waiver of liability.
Can I bring a drink with me while using the Campus Recreation facilities?
Soft drinks, sports drinks, etc. are not allowed past the entrance gate due to the sugar content of these drinks which can cause maintenance issues if spilled on the machines. However, water is allowed in clear, non-breakable, plastic, leak proof drinking container.
Where can I store my belongings while I workout?
Day use lockers are available for members to use while working out. Locks can be brought in or checked out for free at the Front Desk or Equipment Room. All locks remaining on day use lockers at the end of the day will be cut off and items left in lockers will be disposed of. Campus Recreation is not responsible for items left unattended in our facilities.
What can I wear to the gym?
Athletic attire is required. Street clothing and/or business attire (suit and tie or skirt) compromises the safety of the wearer and reduces the acknowledged recreation atmosphere of the Health & Fitness Center, and is NOT allowed. Sauna suits or trash bags (sometimes worn to cut water weight) are NOT allowed. Short or long exercise/warm-up pants are acceptable. Pants with belts, cut-off pants and/or jeans with metal rivets are dangerous and NOT allowed. Shorts that do not cover the buttocks are NOT allowed. Athletic Attire that covers the torso is acceptable. Shirts that have been cut down the sides, sports bras worn alone as tops, and/or offensive graphics/text are considered inappropriate and NOT allowed. T-shirts are available for issue for unprepared or inappropriately dressed patrons. For safety purposes, closed-toed and closed-heeled non-marking athletic footwear is required in all areas of the Health & Fitness Center, except the shower/locker rooms. Five finger shoes are allowed on cardio and selectorized equipment as well as the track.
Can I change the TV channels in the fitness area?
The TV channels played in the fitness area were voted on by participants and each television is set to a specific channel. If you would like to see these changed, please email the fitness coordinator, Sharyn Lustre, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Where do I go to sign up for an intramural sport?
All, Students, Faculty, and Staff interested in playing intramural sports can sign up at www.imleagues.com using their Longwood email address. You can create a team, join a team, or join as a free agent! Detailed Instructions can be found at the following link. What are the equipment rental hours?
Monday 3-10pm, Tuesday – Thursday 4-10pm, Friday 3-8pm. You can come by and reserve equipment, but payment is due at time of reservation. We don’t take reservations over the phone or email, but you can call the equipment room to see if equipment is available: 395.2751
How can I register a complaint on a program or service?
If you are unhappy with a program or service a written complaint can be filed with the program area director. If you do not receive satisfaction, please contact the Associate Dean of Wellness at firstname.lastname@example.org. Still not satisfied?
