Tutorials for Online Students
The following list of tutorials is for students interested in or already enrolled in online courses. These tutorials are for Longwood students and prospective Longwood students. If you are interested in taking an online course from Longwood please examine these tutorials first to hopefully answer some of your questions. All tutorials are flash files. If you do not have Flash Media Player please go to Macromedia and download it. (NOTE: You do not need the Yahoo tool bar so deselect it before installing the plug-in.) The tutorials may come up as a pop-up window in which case you may want to temporarily disable any pop-up blocker you have active. Simply right click on the information bar at the top of your browser and select "Temporarily Allow Pop-ups." NOTE: There is sound for each of the tutorials so be sure that your speakers are not muted and that they are plugged in and turned on.
Tutorial 1 - This tutorial is an introduction to Longwood in general and navigating the Longwood website and Online website. Tutorial 2 - This tutorial is a basic introduction to Blackboard and simple navigation of Blackboard. Tutorial 3 - This tutorial is in depth instructions on using Blackboard's Discussion Board. Tutorial 4 - This tutorial gives instruction on how to set up for and use the virtual classroom on Blackboard.
