Registration Procedure

Already an accepted and actively enrolled undergraduate or graduate degree or licensure student at Longwood?  Register for all classes through the My.Longwood portal. Click here.

NOTE: If it has been one year or more since you last enrolled, OR you are a non-degree student (not admitted to a degree or licensure program)  follow steps below.

First time to enroll in an undergraduate or graduate course at Longwood, OR  continuing non-degree student OR  it has been one year or more since last enrolled?

        Follow these steps:
            1. Download and complete the Longwood Course Registration Form. Click here.

            2. For first time enrollee OR more than one year since last enrolled OR address has changed, download and complete the Application for In-State Tuition Rates.  Click here.

            3. Fax appropriate forms to 434.395.2252   OR   For SLPOnline Students only:

            4. After you receive your Longwood student ID, PIN, email address and temporary password via US Mail, (5 to 7 days after Longwood receives your registration form) return to this site and  click here to access your bill. 

            5. If you don't receive your secure sign-in information via US Mail within a few days, please call the Help Desk for assistance, local 434.395.4357 or toll free 877.267.7883, during the following hours Eastern Standard/Daylight Time:

                Mon -Thurs    7:45 am - 9 pm
                Friday            7:45 am - 5 pm
                Saturday        8:00 am - 6 pm
                Sunday           Closed

            6. Sign into MyLongwood, choose the Student tab and scroll to the financial section to see your bill and pay by credit card, if desired.

            7. Longwood sends eBills to your Longwood email account. Please check your Longwood email frequently for official notices. Once you fax your registration form to the registrar, you owe for the class whether you log into the class or not. Check the  MyLongwood system to see your registration status.

            8. You must actively drop the class before the class starts to avoid paying for the class by signing into My.Longwood, choosing the Student tab and dropping the class in the Registration section. Be sure to confirm the drop before leaving the site.

          NOTICE:  Online classes MUST be dropped BEFORE 6 p.m. EST on the start date to avoid course charges.

                   NO REFUNDS are given if you choose to withdraw from the class after 6 p.m. on the start date. 

Look at the syllabus before the start date to be sure you want to take the class. Click on Course Schedule to find the class and click on the instructor to get to the syllabus.

Once you are registered, whether you have paid or not, you MUST actively drop the class BEFORE 6 p.m. on the start date to avoid charges. There are NO automatic drops for non-attendance or non-payment. Click on Drop/Add for details.

IMPORTANT: A Longwood ID and password are required  in order to check billing information, access MyLongwood, gain access to the online course on Blackboard and access online databases in the Longwood Library.  Call the HELP desk toll free at 877.267.7883 or 434.395.4357 for assistance with obtaining your ID and password.

Longwood email may be forwarded onto a personal email account, if desired. However, the Longwood ID MUST be activated  first. (WARNING: If Longwood email is forwarded to another account, the security of the messages cannot be assured.)
