An exciting transition to life at Longwood

During your first four days at Longwood, you'll have the chance to meet fellow freshmen as well as some other friendly Lancers that know the ropes. We'll answer your questions, prepare you for challenges and tell you about all of the helpful resources available to you at Longwood.

Since you'll need to know these things, New Lancer Days is required.

7:00pm - 9:30pm Lancer Tailgate | Brock Commons
Join your fellow new Lancers as we transform Brock Commons into Longwood’s Amusement Park for this NLD signature event! Brock Commons will be divided into different areas similar to an amusement park, so be sure to visit each section! We will have carnival games in the library, a food section with your favorite park snacks (including popcorn and cotton candy), an activities section with fun games, and even an area in the Health and Fitness Center with an “amusement park” ride. Top it off with a photo booth on Brock Commons to commemorate the fun! Explore the rock wall, dance the night away with WMLU, and find swag along the way. Plus, complete the NLD Challenge Card and return it to the Health and Fitness Center for your chance to win awesome prizes, including a parking pass, a personal training package, and Lancer Cash! This event is sponsored by Lancer Productions, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Greenwood Library, the Health and Fitness Center, and supported by numerous departments across campus.
