Orientation and Registration Programs
Readmitted students entering Longwood in Fall 2015 should attend one of our Summer Readmitted Student Orientation and Registration dates.
Summer Readmitted Student Orientation and Registration dates:
- Wednesday, May 27, 2015
- Friday, July 31, 2015 (recommended)
- Thursday, August 20, 2015 (abbreviated program)
The July 31st Orientation and Registration program will begin around 7:45am and wrap up by 5:30pm. The August Orientation and Registration program is abbreviated and designed only for students who are unable to attend earlier sessions.
Readmitted students who still need to attend Orientation should have received an e-mail to their Live Mail account with instructions on how to register to attend the July or August Orientation and Registration programs.
Readmitted students who have recently paid their Admissions Deposit may need to wait up to 1 week after the deposit has been processed before receiving the e-mail with Orientation registration instructions.
SPECIAL NOTE: The registration system will be down from June 29th until July 1st for annual system maintenance. It should reopen on July 2nd.
At Orientation and Registration, incoming students have the opportunity to hear from various campus offices about the services provided, as well as requirements they will need for their first semester, such as laptops. During the program, students will register for their Fall 2015 classes.
Readmitted students pay a $45 fee to exclusively cover the cost of their Readmitted Student Orientation & Registration program. This covers the cost of the staff, materials, meals, programs, and advising during Orientation & Registration. Readmitted students attending the July 31st Orientation will pay the $45 fee online using a credit card when signing-up for Orientation.
Readmitted students who have already paid or received a waiver for their transitional fee will require special instructions sent to their Live Mail account to bypass the payment requirement in the online registration system.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Office of First Year Experience and Family Programs at 434.395.2414 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
