Holiday Dinner Concerts

Longwood University Holiday Dinner and Concert, 2012

In keeping with a 38-year tradition, the Longwood University Department of Music presents The Longwood Holiday Dinner and Concert in the Lee Grand Dining Room of the William F. Dorrill Dining Hall on Friday, December 6, and Saturday, December 7, 2013. Student musicians  from the Camerata Singers, Wind Symphony, Jazz Ensemble, and Percussion Ensemble, directed by Longwood faculty members, will perform traditional favorites while you enjoy a festive dinner and concert. Seating in the Lee Grand Dining Room will begin at 6:00 p.m. and the evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with a musical greeting. Your dinner will be a double entrée of beef filet with a cabernet wine demi glaze and fresh grated horseradish root, and chicken an orange-cranberry glaze, accompanied by dry rubbed fingerling potatoes and lemon butter asparagus.  The vegetarian option is an herb and parmesan stuffed patty pan squash with dry rubbed fingerling potatoes and lemon butter asparagus.   Please indicate your preference/quantity of each entrée (based on number of reservations) on the form in the link to the right.  
 
Reservations can be made starting October 14. To make reservations for the dinner, please complete and return the reservation form with your check. Please download the form, print it out and send through the mail.  We are unable to take electronic reservations or payments at this time.  Or you can make reservations in person at the Theatre Box Office, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tickets are $40.00 per person. Please indicate on the form if you wish to be seated with another party. Send all forms and payments together. Seating selection is assigned as reservations are received – so send in your form today!
No reservations are accepted nor seating changes/refunds made after Nov. 14. Your tickets will be mailed to you at the end of November. We hope you will join us in celebrating this Longwood tradition.  
 
The Department of Music hosts the Holiday Dinner and Concert in celebration of the season. A portion of your ticket price is used to fund music scholarships. If you wish, you may make an additional contribution to the scholarship fund.

 

 

Celebrate the Holiday Season by attending one of Longwood's longest musical traditions.  The 38th annual Holiday Dinner will take place on December 6 & 7 in the Dorrill Dining Hall.
