ID Cards

Students

A Lancer Card is a must for all Longwood students and should be carried at all times while on campus. The card, which identifies you as a currently registered student, also entitles you to various other privileges and potential uses on and off campus.

Vendor Cards

Sample Vendor CardAnyone not affiliated with Longwood University but requiring access to university facilities will be issued a Vendor card. . Access will be give between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. only. Vendor cards must be returned at the end of the day. In the event that the card is not returned, a $20 lost card fee will be billed to the company or individual who checked out the card.

Cards are issued in the Police Department Physical Security Services office, located in the Dorrill Dining Hall from 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday through Friday.  You can contact Senior Manager, Debra A. Wooding at 434-395-2279 or woodingda@longwood.edu for assistance.

 


Contractor Cards

Sample Contractor CardAny contractor on the premises of the University campus will be required to carry a CONTRACTOR ID card while on campus. Access will be given between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday - on an as-needed basis. Contractor cards must be returned upon completion of a project. In the event that the card is not returned, a $20 lost card fee will be billed to the company or individual who checked out the card.

Lost ID Policy

If you lose your Lancer Card, you will need to deactivate it immediately so your card can be protected from misuse. You can do this in a variety of ways:

  • Mark your card lost online at Manage My Lancer Card.
  • Contact the LancerCard Center at 434-395-2715 during business hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm)
  • After hours: Contact the Police Department Dispatch office at 434-395-2091. 

To reactivate your current Lancer Card, you will need to come to the Lancer Card Center in person. You must have a driver's license or another form of photo identification in order to reactivate your lost ID if found.

If you cannot find your current card, then you will need to have a new card printed. There is a $15 fee to replace your Lancer Card.

The university assumes no responsibility for illegitimate purchases from your account prior to your notifying the proper authorities that it is lost or stolen.

All customers wishing to use their meal plan or Lancer CA$H! account to purchase goods or services must present their valid LancerCard for payment. In order to protect your account, there will be no exceptions.
