On Friday, Aug. 25, hundreds of Longwood students, staff, alumni, and community members broke into applause as the ribbon was cut and the doors officially opened to a highly anticipated new building at Longwood University—the Joan Perry Brock Center—on Friday.

Regular event parking (free) is located on the south end of campus in designated lots along Wynne Street. Reserved basketball parking includes the Brock Commons Parking Garage, the Library lot and the CSTAC lot.

From the celebratory cheers of Convocation to raucous crowd chants at a D-I playoff basketball game, the spirit of Longwood will reverberate in the new Joan Perry Brock Center this fall.
With its stunning facade facing downtown Farmville, the center will not only host concerts, lectures and rival teams, but the traditions that keep our spirit strong.
Easily accessed by foot from downtown restaurants, bars and shopping options, the space will be an integral part of life in Farmville.
Joan Perry Brock Center is available to rent/book for all types of events. These events include concerts, family shows, amateur sports, sports tournaments, high school graduations, ceremonies, galas, banquets, conventions, trade shows, large meetings and small meetings.
All food service is provided by Aramark, Longwood’s food service partner. Joan Perry Brock Center will collaborate with Aramark to ensure they can maximize all opportunities for catering and support all food and beverage needs.
