International students are usually very excited to meet new friends, discover new places and take challenging courses. Living in another country for an extended period of time, however, can also be daunting. By making a connection with an international student early on in their stay, you will make them feel welcome and help ease their transition into a new culture.
Connecting with international students is easy and fun! You will learn about a new culture, gain global perspectives, improve your cross-cultural communication skills and build the foundations for lasting friendships.
There are several ways to connect with international students. You can become an International Student Mentor or just attend events and activities, where you can meet international students.
