National Pan-Hellenic Council
The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) is the governing body that is comprised of the nine historically African American Greek-lettered organizations, known as the "Divine Nine". At Longwood University, NPHC is a part of a greater Greek Community. We build bonds across councils which allow us to learn more about each other’s organizations, work collaboratively to make a difference, and make the Greek experience unique for each individual student. Greek Week is a time where we actively foster relationships through numerous competitive, yet friendly competitions between councils and individual chapters.
Joining an NPHC organization is a lifelong commitment. It means learning life skills at conferences and leadership seminars, creating lifelong bonds within your organization and the council as a whole, and making a difference by giving back on the campus and in the community. It enhances your college experience and also provides several networking opportunities for life after Longwood.
