For further information concerning access for individuals with disabilities at Longwood University:
Interpreting Services
Interpreting Services MUST be requested at least 6 weeks in advance.
Housing Procedures

Emergency Evacuation Procedures
- In the event of an emergency, try to the best of your ability to leave the building.
- In the event of an emergency, proceed to the nearest stairwell. If you are able, move down the steps and out of the building.
- If you are not able to move down the steps, activate the Area of Rescue call button and remain at that station.
- If there is no Area of Rescue call button, alert fellow individuals leaving the building to your presences. As rescue personnel arrive on the scene, the stairwells will be cleared first.
