Superintendent's Network

The Superintendent's Network is a cooperative alliance between Longwood and the PreK-12 schools in Southside Virginia. Superintendents and designated personnel from each of the school divisions in Region 8 meet with University administrators and professors at least four times per academic year. The meetings occur on the Longwood campus and are led by the superintendent who is the current chair and the Dean of the College of Education.

The purpose of the Network is to enhance communication and to engage in joint endeavors. For example, the University and the Region 8 schools support each other to meet staff development needs, to secure grants, and to guarantee successful collaborative relationships, such as the Partnership Schools and the preparation of mentor teachers.
