The Superintendent's Network is a cooperative alliance between Longwood and the PreK-12 school divisions, Southside Virginia Community College, regional education networks, and public and private higher education institutions in Southside Virginia. Superintendents, administrators, and designated personnel from each constituent organization in Region 8 meet with Longwood University administrators and professors at least twice each academic year.
The Professional Educators Council provides the leadership and forum that brings the College of Education & Human Services and the College of Arts & Sciences together to facilitate communication across all education programs and cements the unit as one academic community.
The Professional Educators Council (PEC) was formed in Fall 2002 to provide a forum for all Longwood University faculty members involved in preparing professional educators to discuss and make recommendations to the deans of the two colleges regarding policy, procedures, and issues involved in educator preparation.
The mission of the Friends of the College Advisory Board is to use its professional experience to help the College develop and implement its mission and goals. The Board's primary role is to assist the Dean with fundraising efforts, as well as promote and market the academic programs of the College.
