Being a good fit for a job is one thing, but how do you know if a company is going to be a good fit for you? There are five major signs that company you’re pursuing is a great place to work:

1. The employees are workplace ambassadors.

If employees are bragging about their company, then you know it’s a great place to work. They feel a sense of pride in what they do, who they work with, and where they work. Read employee reviews online to get a sense of what people are saying about the company you’re pursuing. Be on the lookout for friends, family members, and colleagues who can’t stop talking about their company. Chances are, it’s a good place to end up.

2. The people look up to the leaders.

Good leadership is a key part of a good company. Everything starts from the top and works its way down. If a company’s CEO has good ratings on Glassdoor and gets rave reviews from employees, that’s a great sign.

3. The team is diverse but shares the same overall values.

Finding a company that looks for a diverse team is very important. In order to succeed, it needs a variety of different people, skill sets, mindsets, and backgrounds. It truly does “take all kinds.” But it’s also important that those people share the same core values so they have a baseline of what’s important so everyone is on the same page. Talk to employees and leaders and read reviews to see if the team shares similar core values and beliefs when it comes to work and success.

So, be on the lookout for these three things when you’re looking at companies. Also, check out Glassdoor’s 2018 Best Places To Work list to get an idea of what the top companies have to offer and why they’re considered great places to work.
