Alumni Association

The Alumni Association is governed by an Alumni Board composed of four officers and up to twenty-one members-at-large.

Official business meetings are held in the fall and in the spring of each year and a planning meeting is held in the summer. Board members assist throughout the year with program development and events sponsored by the Association. One representative from both the Board of Visitors and the Longwood University Foundation Board of Directors attends Alumni Board meetings.

The Longwood University Alumni Association was organized by seven alumnae in 1887 under the name Association of Alumnae of State Female Normal School.
