Campus Activities

You'll find plenty of leadership opportunities at Longwood through a wide range of co-curricular activities.

Involvement in these activities allows you to make a difference on campus and in the community. You'll further develop a strong sense of citizenship, responsibility, honesty, and integrity. At Longwood, you WILL become a citizen leader.

Longwood offers over 125 clubs and organizations and you can become just as involved as you want to be.

Through these organizations, students work closely with faculty and other campus leaders to create an unusually well-coordinated academic and student-affairs program that has a strong impact on the Longwood environment. A national survey supports this claim - more than 42 percent of Longwood seniors worked with faculty members on activities other than coursework compared to 19 percent at other master's institutions.

Greek Life

About 17 percent of the students are in social fraternities or sororities and these Greek organizations contribute to the social and service aspects of the campus. Many non-Greeks express appreciation for the contributions of the Greek organizations because many of their activities are open to the campus community - social divisions do not exist.
