Longwood student Colleen Whitney on the air

Longwood student Colleen Whitney, a rising senior and psychology major, has recorded an essay for Civic Soapbox, a community-based feature program that airs on WMRA, a National Public Radio affiliate in Harrisonburg, Va.
Whitney's essay about eating disorders and the influence of the media on the body image of young women will air on Friday, May 8 at 7:35 a.m. and again between 5:30 and 6 p.m. WMRA can be heard in Farmville at 91.3 FM and online at www.wmra.org.
