Longwood Financial Aid quoted in Roanoke Times regarding economic crisis and student loans
October 9, 2008
The current national economic crisis is having an impact on student loans and several Virginia colleges and universities, including Longwood, are waiting on delayed student loan proceeds from intermediaries that arrange federal student loans. Longwood’s Gayle Covington, assistant director of financial aid, was quoted in a story in the Roanoke Times on Wednesday, October 8, and indicated that the Office of Financial aid is working with any affected Longwood students to ensure that they can continue school until the delayed payments arrive.
The story, “Credit crisis delays loans to students,” was written by Jeff Sturgeon and can be accessed online.
