Longwood student Timothy Cocrane honored at the Kiwanis International Convention

Longwood student Timothy Cocrane was honored on Saturday, August 16 at the Kiwanis International Convention in Richmond when he received the Robert P. Connelly Medal of Heroism for his life-saving actions during the First Avenue fire of March 3, 2007. Dr. Cormier was the keynote speaker for the convention. A story, “Longwood student honored for heroism during fatal fire,” appeared in the Metro section of Sunday’s Richmond Times-Dispatch (8.17.08) and was written by Reed Williams. The story included a photo of Cocrane and Dr. Cormier. Timothy Cocrane was also interviewed and appeared on Saturday evening broadcasts of WTVR-TV 6 (CBS) and WRIC-TV 8 (ABC).
