Dr. Geoff Orth and Dr. Ling Whitworth gave a presentation on the Longwood Honors Program at the 2007 annual conference

Dr. Geoff Orth, Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs and Director of the Honors Program, and Dr. Ling Whitworth, Associate Director of Assessment & Institutional Research, gave a presentation on the Longwood Honors Program at the 2007 annual conference of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), held Dec. 8-11 in New Orleans. The presentation, “Improving Retention through Student Engagement,” emphasized that engaging students in assessing their learning motivates them to participate in active learning, which can help retain students in the Honors Program.
