Longwood Center for Cyber Security to open
November 1, 2012
The Longwood Center for Cyber Security will officially open Thursday, Nov. 8, at 3:30 p.m. with a ribbon cutting in G13 in Longwood University's Hiner Hall.
A panel discussion on information technology and cyber security issues will immediately follow the ribbon cutting in Hiner 207. Panelists will include Rhonda Vetere, senior vice president of global technology infrastructure for AIG; Dr. Glenn Dardick, director of the Longwood Center for Cyber Security; and Dr. Randy Boyle, associate professor of information systems and security at Longwood.
Vetere will speak the same day at 7 p.m. in Longwood's Blackwell Hall as part of the Executive-in-Residence lecture series in the College of Business and Economics (CBE).
The Center for Cyber Security, housed in the CBE, will expand Dardick's longtime work in cyber security and digital forensics, in which he is an international leader.
