September 19, 2012
Tonya Mallory, president and CEO of Health Diagnostic Laboratory Inc. (HDL) of Richmond, is considered a leader in laboratory diagnostic testing.
Tonya Mallory, an entrepreneur whose pioneering work in chronic disease management has helped propel the field of cardiology and related diseases into the forefront of diagnostic care, will speak Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. in Longwood University's Hiner Auditorium.
Mallory, president and CEO of Health Diagnostic Laboratory Inc. (HDL) of Richmond, will speak on "Effective Leadership: Zero to 500 in 3 Years" in the Executive-in-Residence lecture series for the College of Business and Economics (CBE).
Mallory, considered one of the promising young leaders in the burgeoning field of laboratory diagnostic testing, has won several career awards including Ernst & Young's 2012 Greater Washington Entrepreneur of the Year award. HDL, which Mallory co-founded in 2009, provides testing for physicians and medical practices in 45 states and has grown from 11 to 550 employees and from $80 million to $400 million in net revenues in three years.
The Executive-in-Residence series is a public service of the CBE and is made possible through the generous corporate support of Barrett Capital Management LLC.
