Longwood University's SNVC Institute for Leadership Values is now the SNVC Institute for Leadership and Innovation.

The name change reflects an expansion of the institute's offerings, including "Innovation Labs" which will offer clients the opportunity to address organizational issues in partnership with Longwood faculty and students. The institute, based in Longwood's College of Business and Economics, will continue to promote effective leadership through the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People program, based on Dr. Stephen Covey's best-selling book of that name.

The institute also has a new executive director, Robin Daniels, who is completing a Ph.D. in organizational psychology. "This type of program will give our students a real competitive edge in their communities, businesses, and personal as well as professional relationships," she said.

The SNVC Institute for Leadership and Innovation takes its name from Fairfax-based company SNVC. Longwood alumnus Tom DeWitt is the president of SNVC and the founding sponsor of the SNVC Institute. For more information about the SNVC Institute, visit www.longwood.edu/business/snvcili.htm.
