Longwood faculty, staff and alumni in Waterworks Players’ production
September 18, 2012
The cast of God of Carnage (from left) Don Blaheta, Leigh Lunsford, Anita Lynn, and Brandon Nuckols
Several people with a Longwood University connection are in the Waterworks Players' upcoming production of God of Carnage.
The cast includes Dr. Don Blaheta, assistant professor of computer science, who plays Alan Raleigh; Dr. Leigh Lunsford, associate professor of mathematics, as Annette Raleigh; Anita Lynn '10 (whose husband, Jay Lynn, is Longwood's director of information technology project management), in the role of Veronica Novak, and Brandon Nuckols '97, currently a graduate student at Longwood, playing Michael Novak. Former Longwood faculty member Dudley Sauve is the director; Dr. Mary Jo Stockton, web technology coordinator, is stage manager; and Dr. Ed Kinman, interim assistant dean of the Cook-Cole College of Arts and Sciences, is doing the sound.
The Tony Award and Olivier Award-winning comedy by French playwright Yasmina Reza will be performed Sept. 21-22 and 28-29 at 8 p.m. by Farmville's community theater. There is no intermission and, due to adult language and controversial issues, it is not recommended for children under 13. To purchase tickets ($10) or for more information call (434) 392-3452 or visit http://waterworksplayers.org.
