Services set for Longwood professor Dr. Bill Stuart

Affectionately known to students as "Dr. B," Stuart was a well-known professor on campus.
Visitation and a memorial service in Richmond, as well as a candlelight vigil and memorial service on the Longwood University campus, have been set for Dr. Bill Stuart, associate professor of communication studies at Longwood, who died Sept. 9. The entire Longwood community is invited to a memorial service and candlelight vigil at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, on the lawn between Bedford Hall and the Center for Communication Studies and Theatre. The service is being organized by Lambda Pi Eta, the communication studies honor society, and the Department of Communication Studies. For more information, contact Allison Dobson at 434-395-2643.
In Richmond, visitation is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Woody Funeral Home Parham (www.woodyfuneralhomeparham.com), located at 1771 North Parham. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Cannon Memorial Chapel on the University of Richmond campus, 28 Westhampton Way (directions at http://modlin.richmond.edu/getting-here/cannon-memorial-chapel.html).
