Several Longwood faculty members give presentations at statewide research conference

Several Longwood faculty members presented sessions at the annual Virginia Educational Research Association Conference, held Sept. 22-23 in Charlottesville.
They and their presentations are Dr. Pam Aerni, assistant professor of education, "Partnering with Math and Science Teachers to Improve Student Performance;" Dr. Robin Smith, assistant professor of English, and Dr. Audrey Church, associate professor of school library media, "Partnering for Success to Investigate Preservice Educators' Use of 21st Century Skills;" and Dr. Gerry Sokol, associate professor of education, and Dr. Jim Pirkle, retired associate professor of education, "The Validation Program: A Character Education Intervention Program for Enhancing Positive Relationships, Self-Perspectives and Perspectives of Others."
At the Friday business meeting, Dr. Church was elected secretary of the organization.
