Longwood ranks with the best in 2009 U.S. News rankings

For the eleventh straight year, Longwood University is ranked among the best in the new U.S. News & World Report “America’s Best Colleges.” The 2009 Report, released on 22 August 2008, continues to rank Longwood as one of the “Top Public Universities—Master’s” in the South at the #11 position. Among all Southern Universities—Master’s (public and private) Longwood remained within the top tier at the #32 position.
Additionally, Longwood is one of only 139 schools in the Southeast selected as a “Best in the Southeast” in the Princeton Review’s 2009 Best Colleges: Region by Region listings. Student opinion data from a total of 630 schools nationwide is featured on the Best Colleges: Region by Region section.
