Meal Plans & Bonus Dollars

 

A meal plan is mandatory for all students living on the main campus, as well as those students living in Lancer Park, Longwood Village and the Longwood Landings.

We know that most of your day will be spent on campus and we want you to find the best plan that suits your needs. We have five options for you to choose from and hope that you participate in them to enjoy the social aspects of dining on campus.

We also offer meal plans to commuter students to help enhance your college experience. Participating in a meal plan makes it easy and convenient to sit, relax, study and socialize with your friends in one of our Dining locations. 

 

Meal Plans

Meal plans have two parts:  meals and Bonus Dollars.

Meals can be swiped in our all-you-care-to-eat location in Dorrill Dining Hall and to-go meals in Outta Here. 

Bonus Dollars are tax free dollars that come with the meal plan.  They can be used in any of the Longwood Dining-run retail operations.  These locations are Chick-fil-a, Moe's, Lancer Cafe, Java City and POD Market.  1 Bonus Dollar = $1. 

 

Weekly Meal Plans

Meals are used for all-you-care-to eat meals at Dorrill Dining Hall (RfoC) for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Your card is swiped at the entrance of the dining facility and a meal is subtracted automatically deducted from your plan.

Under the Weekly 19,14, and 10 Meal Plans you are guaranteed that number of meals per week. Each time you eat in the Dining Hall RFoC, one meal is subtracted from your weekly balance. In addition, all weekly plans come with Bonus Dollars that can be used in our retail locations: Moe's, Chick-fil-A, Lancer Cafe featuring Einstein Bros Bagels, Java City or the POD Market in Lancer Park.  These plans also come with 5 Guest Meals that can be used in our Dorrill Dining Hall (RFoC) to purchase an additional meal for visiting friends and family.

Best Suited For:

  • Traditional students on campus 7 days a week
  • Residents living on campus or a campus managed facility
  • Students who eat meals during traditional meal periods
  • Students who have regular class and social schedules
 

Block Meals

Block plans provide a designated amount of meals that can be used anytime throughout the semester allowing students more conveniece and flexibility. These meals are not tied to a certain number of meals per week. Each time you eat in the Dining Hall, one meal is subtracted from your semester balance. Additionally, these plans include a certain number of Bonus Dollars than can be used in our retail locations: Moe's, Chick-fil-A, Lancer Cafe featuring Einstein Bros Bagels, Java City or the POD Market in Lancer Park.

Best Suited For:

  • Students with an active schedule
  • Students who skip meals
  • Students who tend to eat several smaller meals per day
  • Commuter Students
  • Faculty and Staff
 

Bonus Dollars

Bonus Dollars are an added cash feature to all plans. They provide the ultimate flexibility to your meal plan membership. The best part is that purchases with Bonus Dollars are tax-free. Bonus Dollars will carry over from the Fall to Spring semester, as long as a meal plan is purchased both semesters.

Want to add or change your meal plan?

Residential Students

Residential Students wishing to downgrade his/her meal plan for the 2013-2014 academic year may do so prior to 5pm on the Drop/Add day of each semester, which is September 3, 2013(Fall) and January 21, 2014 (Spring).  This can be done through the Student Housing Gateway.  Please utilize the link below to access the Student Housing Gateway.

Add/Change Resident Meal Plans

Commuter Students

Commuter Students wishing to purchase a meal plan for Fall 2013 may do so through the Longwood Dining Services webpage.  Students can add, drop our change your meal plan during the drop/add period.  No meal plans can be dropped or downgraded after 5:00pm on the last day of drop/add, which is September 3, 2013(Fall) and January 21, 2014 (Spring).  Commuter meal plans are not prorated and must be purchased each semester.
