Non-Degree Seeking (Non-Admitted) Students

Visit the Registrar's website for up-to-date course listings.

  • No secure sign-in required. Open to all.
  • Choose "Term" (example: Fall 2009) & Submit.
  • Choose "Subject" & "Course Level" (Graduate) then Submit.
  • Follow the procedures below once you have selected a course.
 

Non-degree seeking (non-admitted) students complete the following procedures to register for a course:  

  • For on-campus, off-campus, or online courses you can register by completing the Longwood Graduate Course Enrollment Request (pdf) and the Application for Virginia In-State Tuition Rates (pdf). The In-State Tuition form is required if this is the first time you are registering for a Longwood course or if it has been more than 12 months since you registered for a Longwood course or if your official residence has changed. Once completed, the forms are submitted via regular mail to Registrar's Office, Longwood University, 201 High Street, Farmville, VA 23909 OR via fax to 434.395.2252 (It is your responsibility to confirm receipt of all faxed and/or e-mailed items by calling 434.395.2580) OR via e-mail, if you have the capability to scan the signed/completed forms and attach them to the message, to registrar@longwood.edu, OR in person in the Registrar's Office, Barlow Hall. 


All registration forms including the In-State Tuition Application, and complete instructions are available at the Registration Office website, select 'Non-Degree Students' from their menu. For answers to questions, please contact the Registrar's Office at 434.395.2580 or registrar@longwood.edu.

 

Degree-Seeking or Professional Endorsement (Admitted) Students

Visit the Registrar's website OR go to myLongwood for up-to-date course listings, and to register for, add or drop classes.

Steps to follow to locate a class through the Registrar's website:

  • No secure sign-in required. Open to all.
  • Choose "Term" (example: Fall 2009) & Submit.
  • Choose "Subject" & "Course Level" (Graduate) then Submit.
  • To register for the course, follow the steps in myLongwood below.

Steps to follow to locate a class and register for that class through myLongwood:

  • Secure sign-in required
  • Choose "Student" Tab
  • Scroll to "Registration Tools"
  • Choose "Look Up Classes"
  • Choose "Term" (example: Fall 2009) & Submit
  • Choose "Subject" & "Course Level" (Graduate) then Submit
  • On each course listing CLICK on the CRN for complete information about the course including meeting dates, registration deadlines, prerequisites, and location.
  • To Register or Add / Drop on-campus, off-campus or online classes choose "Add or Drop Classes"
  • In addition, you may register via regular mail to Registrar's Office, Longwood University, 201 High Street, Farmville, VA 23909; via fax to 434.395.2252 (It is your responsibility to confirm receipt of any faxed and/or e-mailed item by calling 434.395.2580); via e-mail, if you have the capability to scan the signed/completed forms and attach it to the message to registrar@longwood.edu; or in person to the Registrar's Office, Barlow Hall.

NOTE: Comprehensive examination, thesis, collaborative research, action research registration CANNOT be done via myLongwood. It must be done via regular mail to Registrar's Office, Longwood University, 201 High Street, Farmville, VA 23909; via fax to 434.395.2252 (It is your responsibility to confirm receipt of faxed and/or e-mailed items by calling 434.395.2580); via e-mail, if you have the capability to scan the signed/completed form and attach it to the message to registrar@longwood.edu; or in person to the Registrar's Office, Barlow Hall using the Graduate Course Enrollment Request Form (pdf).
